Google Pay arrived in Chile in 2018 and allows users to make online payments using contactless technology with their mobile phone, smartwatch, or any other device with a non-fungible token (NFC).
It can be used in online stores, Google services, and mobile applications that support it. To use Google Pay, you need any NFC-compatible device with an operating system running Lollipop 5.0 or higher to make purchases in stores. You must also configure your credit or debit cards from banks that are compatible with the platform.
Check your payment history
Enabling payments through Google Pay is essential to use your phone as a payment method. The application allows for various payment methods; you can also add loyalty cards or points programs from retailers. Additionally, you can track all the times you have used your mobile phone to pay and which card you used.
To quickly and easily check your transactions without having to open your bank\'s app, simply go to Google Play and follow these steps:
Select the hamburger menu in the upper left corner of the app\'s main screen. Once the menu opens, select \"Activity.\" This will display a list of all your transactions, showing the merchant name, the date of the transaction, and the purchase amount.
Tapping on the charges will give you access to specific transaction information. In addition to the transaction details, the merchant\'s location is also displayed on a map, along with all the merchant\'s information, including address. The contact phone number can be accessed by tapping the \"Call\" button. The transaction ID is also displayed.
Furthermore, at the bottom of the screen, you\'ll find the \"Contact issuer\" option if you have any questions about the transaction. Tapping this option will open the phone app, where the issuer\'s contact number will automatically appear.
This way, users can view payments made with different cards in chronological order, regardless of the card used. Transactions made in recent months are also displayed.
Lately, more people are choosing this payment system for its convenience and security. For this to work, the mobile phone must have NFC, which is quite common in many models from different manufacturers. You also need a card that allows payment via this method.
To configure credit or debit cards, the only requirement is that they are compatible with the platform. First, download the Google Pay app from the Play Store. Then open Google Pay and click on the \"Add payment method\" button. Enter your credit or debit card details. Accept the Terms and Conditions, choose your verification method, and you\'re done.
