This integration isn't a merger of the two accounts; rather, both continue to exist independently, but with the ability to communicate from your Messenger account with an Instagram account, or vice versa.
In addition, internal surveys can now be conducted in Instagram group chats, a feature already available on Messenger. Messenger has introduced new designs for chats that are even inspired by J Balvin's new album.
You'll also be able to see when more than one person in the group is texting at the same time. Profile icons also appear in the bottom left corner of the app. On the right screen, you can see what the notification looks like when two people are texting at the same time. Another Messenger feature that's being transferred to Instagram is Watch Together, which allows users to share what they're watching with their contacts.
