While the IGTV app won't be disappearing, there will be changes to the name and video length options. The app's video section will be called Instagram TV, and plans to offer easier video editing, as well as new filter, crop, tag, and location options for users.
"Starting today, we're combining IGTV and feed videos into one format: Instagram video. We're also introducing a new Video tab on your profile, where this combined video format will be present, to make it easier for people to discover new video content," explains Facebook's Alexandru Voica.
Users will also be able to find all videos and live streams in the new and improved Instagram TV app. The app promises to make it easier to find the best videos from Instagram creators.
Videos in the Instagram feed will also be changing, to make it easier for people to discover new content. They will be available in a tab on the profile next to photos, Reels, tags, and more. The maximum length of videos that can be viewed in the feed will also be expanded, up to 60 minutes.
