Technostress is perceived as a psychosocial characteristic that can affect users of technological platforms. This condition can be identified by symptoms such as back and arm pain, and burning eyes caused by prolonged exposure to the computer. It is also accompanied by a lack of concentration. This condition can be measured using three types of guidelines: affective (anxiety vs. fatigue), attitudinal (a skeptical attitude toward technology), and cognitive (beliefs in ineffectiveness in using technology).

Technoanxiety

Technoanxiety is also identified as a type of technostress. Specifically, it causes the person to experience prolonged levels of unpleasant physiological arousal, along with tension and discomfort regarding the present or future use of technology. This anxiety leads to negative attitudes and thoughts about device use. Technophobia focuses on the affective dimension of fear and anxiety towards information technologies.

Technoaddiction

Technoaddiction is another form of technostress, characterized by compulsive attitudes towards the use of ICTs, abusing their use at all times and in any place, that is, using them for long periods of time. Therefore, technoaddicts are those people who want to stay up-to-date with the latest technological advances and make it the central focus of their daily lives.
