As Twitter explains, this will allow users to differentiate between the creation of transparently created bots. This will be implemented with a label titled "good bot."
This update will be available starting February 16 and will allow the same accounts to request to include the distinctive label. It was graphically designed as a robot image that will appear below the user's name, along with a headline that says "automated by" and the account of the person responsible for the bot.
This implementation was carried out after a pilot test that began in September 2021 with a specific study group. This measure was implemented after research revealed that users wanted more information about the accounts they interact with. The measure is not mandatory, but rather optional for creators, and it will not audit automated accounts that interact with real users. To do this, users can report a bot account manually from the options menu located within each profile.
